Η Microsoft έφτιαξε επιτέλους το Windows XP Service Pack 3 το οποίο είναι διαθέσιμο από το Microsoft Downloads. Υπάρχει η έκδοση Network Installation Packager for IT Professionals and Developers η οποία είναι 316.4MB και προορίζεται για administrators που χρειάζεται να αναβαθμίσουν παραπάνω από έναν υπολογιστή. Επίσης η Microsoft έδωσε και μία έκδοση ISO image CD για το Update του SP3 το οποίο είναι 544.9 MB και προορίζεται για x64 υπολογιστές.
